The Well Planned Day Planner Review and Giveaway {Ends 8/23/2015}

The Want-to-Be Organized, Unorganized Mom

I am that mom that rebels against anything labeled for organization.  Is this healthy? No, probably not, but the truth of the matter remains the same, I am a major procrastinator and in the past planners just have not worked for me.  I can have all the right intentions but I always seem to fail to keep up with them.

I am determined that this year is going to be different … I am going to tell you the new planner I am using, how I plan to use it, and my new trick to keeping track of our homeschool year. From one unorganized mom to another, here is my Well Planned Day Homeschool Planner.

The Well Planned Day Planner Review and Giveaway (Ends 8/23/15)

I Need Accountability

My husband gave me a little pep talk the other day, after we realized that I had missed the entire last half of my daughter’s first grade phonics curriculum in the bottom of the box it arrived in and didn’t even see it until the year was over. Had I planned things out a little better that oversight would not have happened. Now that my daughter is going into second grade, I really need to be on my best behavior this year and keep track of what we are doing.

My husband knows me better than anyone. He knows I have good intentions and really want to be that super involved homeschool mom, but he also knows that if I don’t write things down it will not happen. I get very busy with my work and our home and a week just passes me by before I realize everything I meant to do has to be shuffled into the next week. Hence why this year’s garage sale that was supposed to be mid-July is now on the calendar for the end of August. Priorities fall through the cracks for me in the midst of life’s chaos.

I have been hearing about The Well Planned Day for three years now. I first was introduced to it over at Confessions of a Homeschooler blog. It is the #1 best selling planner, so when the Home Educating Family Association (HEDUA) approached me about doing a review, I was all over it. I knew I needed a better plan, and surely if thousands of other homeschool moms have The Well Planned Day at the top of their to-buy list each year alongside their curriculum needs, this might just be the last planner I ever purchase.

A Flexible Family Planner

Planners come in a variety of forms, and it is likely that no two people use any given planner the same way. So, the best planners are those that offer flexible structure, providing plenty of resources while still allowing unique usage. The Well Planned Day Family Homeschool Planner offers the perfect pairing of structure and flexibility.

I plan to sit down weekly and organize my homeschool week but if I am honest with myself, I do not know that this will last very long or be very consistent. If that is the case, I can still use my planner to track our lessons as we homeschool. This will really help me keep track of what all we have accomplished even when I am not the “perfect pre-planner.” That is why I like my Well Planned Day Planner because I can use it to fit my needs. Whether I am being intentional and planning way ahead, or off-the-cuff schooling as we go, it can still keep me organized.

Lindsey

I am a wife to a wonderful husband and mother to four beautiful children five and under: three girls and one boy. I am a disciple of Christ and I am fulfilling my role to my husband and family as a homemaker. I began The Road to 31 almost two years ago in an effort to focus more as I studied the Word of God and researched those things which were important to me. I found that God used The Road to 31 within my own life to bring community to my front door and allowed me to minister and be ministered to by other women who are walking along the same road as I.

    I tried to enter the giveaway for the well planned day (which I adore but simply can’t afford since I am a cancer patient living on a super tight budget from disability) , but I keep getting an error message saying the form is limited to one per person. The problem is I haven’t ever actually entered! It never let me get to that part where it confirmed my entry. Please help me enter this contest because I really really really would love and need to have to planner!
