September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month!

The month of September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month! When childhood should be a time spent getting dirty outside, playing with friends, and learning new things while scraping your knees, for many children that is only a dream they have while sitting in a hospital room undergoing another round of chemotherapy treatments.

This week we are hosting a fundraiser with the intention of raising awareness of these beautiful children as well as blessing them with a special gift to cuddle and create bright memories during a difficult time.

From Wednesday September 8th through Friday September 11th we will be collecting donations that will be going towards the purchase of Usborne Books and More Cuddle Bear Gift Sets to deliver to patients in the Fort Smith, Arkansas area through the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House.

Our goal is to raise $1000 which will be matched by Usborne Books and More by 50%. Shannon Cox from the American Cancer Society in Arkansas will deliver 50 Cuddle Bears and Matching Cuddle Bear Books to children through the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House who could benefit from the smile only a lovable stuffed animal can bring and the security of their parents’ arms wrapped around them as they read a book together as a family.

Please help us meet our goal to shine a light in a little child’s life! A donation of only $30 will provide a full cuddle bear and book set for a child! For the same cost as a tank of gas you can deliver a special gift and a smile. Any size donations are welcomed. A portion of all proceeds from every Cuddle Bear sold is donated to the Scott Carter Foundation seeking to help eliminate childhood cancer.
